Prayer for the Church in Asia

Lord Jesus, You are our brother and teacher.
You taught us about God, you taught us about life
and you taught us about love.

Help us, we pray, to be worthy disciples of yours,
to follow in your footsteps, so that our discipleship
is one of love and service.

As Christians in Asia, help us especially,
to heed the call of our bishops,
that we be engaged in the triple dialogue,
of solidarity with the poor, of appreciation for our
cultures,
and of dialogue with our brothers and sisters of other.
religions.

We pray for the spirit of renewal,
that we may truly be a communion of communities,
foster a dialogue of life, work towards a culture of life,
in our new way of being Church.

Mary, Mother of Jesus
intercede for us and our families,
so that as Christians, we witness to the face of Christ
in Asia,
a face of love and compassion, of justice and peace,
and of harmony and solidarity, with all the peoples of
Asia. Amen.
